First of all, our specially trained staff will carefully pack up your damaged possessions and handle them with care before moving them to our secure warehouse for cleaning, deodorizing and storage. Privacy and confidentiality are always maintained as this content restoration work proceeds.

After an expert inspection of each of your damaged pieces, we’ll determine the type of cleaning it should undergo. It’ll depend on the items composition, makeup, durability and the type of damage it suffered. Once this is determined, we’ll use one of the following processes and/or equipment:

  • Drying chambers
  • Ultrasonic cleaning
  • Laundering/dry cleaning
  • Spray and wipe
  • Immersion cleaning
  • Ozone treatment
  • Deodorization

These methods effectively clean, dry and deodorize even difficult pieces like china, delicate figurines, ceramics, electronics, mini-blinds, silver, brass, chandeliers, plastics and stuffed animals. Ultrasonic machines easily remove smoke residues, mold, water damage, heat scale, and rust.

Absolute Restoration utilizes an assembly-line contents cleaning process for all disaster restoration jobs. Once the items are clean, we cautiously wrap them in bubble wrap and paper and then carefully pack them in boxes and store them until your home or business is restored and the items can be returned.

How Do Ultrasonic Machines Work?

Ultrasonic machines safely and effectively remove contaminants from your personal belongings. They do this by immersing an object in a tank of liquid while high frequency sound waves produce imploding bubbles that create a scrubbing brush-like action that act on contaminants adhering to surfaces like metals, plastics, glass, rubber, ceramics, and even electronics. This action penetrates holes, cracks, and recesses so that it thoroughly removes all traces of contamination and odor. This technology helps us to clean your items faster, more safely and less expensively.

How Does Ozone Treatment Work?

Contents that need to be deodorized are put into an ozone chamber. Ozone, sometimes called “activated oxygen”, contains three atoms of oxygen rather than the two atoms we normally breathe. It’s the second most powerful disinfectant in the world and can be used to destroy bacteria, viruses and odors. When they collide with ozone, they’re completely destroyed by oxidation. In the process, that extra atom of oxygen is consumed and there’s nothing left – no odors, no bacteria, no extra atom, only oxygen.

Ozone occurs quite regularly in nature, most often as a result of lightning strikes that occur during thunderstorms. In fact, that “fresh, clean, spring rain” smell you may notice after a storm most often results from nature’s creation of ozone.
